Josie R. Mace (she/her) is a Richmond native with over a decade of experience in policy analysis and advocacy. She currently works in the public sector as a behavioral health financial and policy analyst. Prior to her current position, Ms. Mace was the Policy Associate at New Virginia Majority, a statewide organization advocating with and for communities of color and low-income Virginians. Her areas of expertise are health and criminal justice reform policy. Josie was previously on the Task Force to Establish a Human Rights Commission for the City of Richmond. Ms. Mace has taken on positions of leadership in her sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, and the Metro Richmond Area Young Democrats (MRAYD) in addition to working on numerous political campaigns.

She currently resides in Northside, but is forever a southside girl. In her spare time, Josie enjoys makeup artistry, singing, and playing music.
